Shameaca Moore grew up in Columbus, Ohio. She has been writing poetry since 14 and performing since 16. She quickly began her slam career with many wins including, the Columbus Public Schools District Slam (twice), The Elks National Oratorical Competition and a four-year full-tuition scholarship for Hip-Hop and Urban arts at the University of Wisconsin- Madison through the First Wave program. In college Shameaca co-wrote and performed a two women Show entitled "Failing with An A" at many events on and off campus, including the two NCAA national conferences, the International Boys and Girl Club Conference, the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) conference, the her university president's home. She has since released a chapbook, "The Black Girl Bible: Revelations" and is back to completing locally, regionally and nationally.
